It has been a crazy week bracing for Irma's impact.
I feel like during the apocalypse, Floridian's will have a natural edge because the shock that comes with a disaster is almost second nature to us. It is very eerie to hear the National broadcast warnings on the radio, seeing the shelves of stores empty, gas stations empty, the closing of everything and the stillness of everyone hidden indoors.
We are hunkering down in our apartment. Everything is in place and now we are just waiting. Hoping to use this time before we lose power for some crafts or Florida Fringe writing but it's really hard to focus on anything with a giant storm headed for us.
