Drummett's Grave

In 1860,  16 year old Charles Drummett died tragically in a hunting accident when he tripped and the rifle went off.

His family buried him in what was then a peaceful forest in the New Smyrna Beach area. Years of urban sprawl have turned the forest into developed area. The town was respectful enough to not disturb the grave site however they continued to build around it thus Drummett's grave ending up in the middle of a roadway.
