Globster
Every now and then, reports will come out of a mysterious creature washing ashore. It is usually a common animal bloated and distorted beyond recognition but never the less a frightening sight usually dubbing the remains that of a 'monster' or of alien origin.
An especially gruesome globster washed ashore near St. Augustine in 1896. A globster is defined as an unidentified organic mass that washes up on a shoreline. This globster was pale pink, almost white, with a silver reflection and it also appeared to have arms. On top of it's strange appearance, the glob was massive. Even with a dozen men pulling upon the mass with ropes could not flip it over. The glob measured 18 feet in length and 7 feet in width.
In addition to it's size, this case is also unique because it is one of the first documented examples of a globster and the identification of whatever this was has been debated for over a century.
The findings were said to be that of a giant octopus, a spotted dolphin, a beluga whale, a giant squid, an alien, and an unknown giant warm-blooded mammal.
The latest analysis in 1995 has concluded that it was all just a hunk of whale blubber!
